Sky Sports pundit Joleon Lescott predicts Leeds United v Fulham Premier League clash
Former Manchester City ace Joleon Lescott predicts Leeds United to return to winning ways v Fulham and help save Jesse Marsch’s job for a while.
After the loss against Leicester City, plenty of questions were raised over whether or not Marsch was getting the best out of his players.
They will be looking to pick up maximum points when the Cottagers visit Elland Road on the back of a victory against Aston Villa that led to the sacking of their manager.
“Fulham will offer up opportunities for the hosts but also have a real goal threat themselves, so I’m struggling to call it.
“I think Jesse Marsch’s men may rise to the occasion and grind a narrow victory out.
“Prediction: Leeds 1-0 Fulham.”
Marsch cannot afford to be under illusions that this game is not a must win one as his job is definitely hanging in the balance.
Nobody at Leeds wants him to fail but this is a results business and good performances without points on the board can only carry him so far.
He’s got to be prepared to make the big changes for this game and axe players that have not lived up to the billing.
He was backed by the club in the summer and got the players he wanted at the club so whatever happens is now on him.
Sure, they have looked tame in front of goal but then he does have the option to unleash someone like Sonny Perkins or Willy Gnonto.
Something needs to change and it needs to be done quickly or Leeds could be manager hunting in the next few weeks building up to the World Cup.
In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports pundit has delivered Jesse Marsch’s “sack” verdict after what he heard this month.
