Leeds United fell to a 3-1 defeat in their Premier League clash with Chelsea on Saturday evening.
Marcelo Bielsa named an unchanged side for the third consecutive clash at Stamford Bridge, but Diego Llorente was finally named on the bench.
The Spaniard was called upon for his debut too with Robin Koch leaving the pitch with an injury and took his spot alongside Ezgjan Alioski.
It wasn’t the Macedonian’s best display.
The winger-turned-defender was all over the place at Stamford Bridge, and it was Timo Werner who gave him the runaround.
The German international well-and-truly exposed Alioski, who didn’t look comfortable for one moment against this top-level opposition.
Jack Harrison wasn’t great in front of him either, and both were at fault for the Chelsea opener as they left far too much space for Reece James to swing in the cross for Olivier Giroud.
Alioski earned his plaudits against both Arsenal and Everton, and now it is time for him to take the negativity, as he was dragged off with half-an-hour to play.
Many Leeds fans have slammed Alioski for his performance, with the majority claiming that he should have been replaced earlier than he actually was.
His harsher critics even claimed that this game was the one that proved the defender was too far out of his depth in the Premier League.
MOT Leeds News have picked out some of the best reactions below…
Alioski is a liability. Very poor defensively. Dallas is more disciplined. Move him to LB and get Rodrigo on.
Harrison has been woeful. Itβs Poveda time. #LUFC
