‘Should be banned’, ‘EFL over to you’ – These Leeds fans call for action over West Brom player

Hal Robson-Kanu was named and shamed by Leeds United fans after a terrible dive in the 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns last night.

Ben White attempted a tackle but made no contact with the West Brom striker who went down like he’d been poleaxed.

One Leeds fan posted the clip on Twitter with a clear camera angle that shows the West Brom player clearly trying to deceive the referee.

Many called on the EFL to hit the player with a retrospective ban after the referee failed to spot his shenanigans during the game.

The FA has the power. Leeds striker Patrick Bamford was banned for two games after being found guilty of deceiving a match official in the clash against Aston Villa towards the end of last season.

Plenty of Leeds fans want Robson-Kanu to be punished and made their feelings clear on Twitter…

Thankfully, the majority of the game last night was contested keenly and fairly by both sets of players.

The two managers shared an embrace at the end of the game and we think both sides are heading to the Premier League.

Both have only won one in five now, but they’re still nine points clear of Brentford in third.

That’s the big difference this season – the chasing pack isn’t as strong as it was last season.
