Sean Longstaff exemplary, 4/10 falters – Leeds United player ratings vs Bournemouth
Leeds dropped two points at the death at home to Bournemouth.
Off the back of Leeds’ 3-1 victory away to Wolves, the Whites were full of momentum heading into Saturday’s clash against Bournemouth.
Andoni Iraola’s side were favourites to beat Leeds, and it was them who took the lead through Antoine Semenyo inside the first half-hour, not long before Joe Rodon levelled the score.
After assisting the first, Sean Longstaff stepped up to score the second, to give his side the lead early in the second half.
From then on, the Whites looked as though they would hold on, but conceded a late, late equaliser from Junior Kroupi, forcing them to settle for a point in a 2-2 draw.

Sean Longstaff cements starting place for Leeds
Longstaff registered a goal and an assist against the Cherries, though it was certainly his goal that took the headlines for Leeds.
After excellent work from Gabriel Gudmundsson to keep the ball in play, it fell to Longstaff, who fired a half volley in off the upright.
However, his general play was solid, with excellent passing and smart positioning whenever the visitors were in possession of the ball.
Ao Tanaka was outstanding for Leeds last season, but the midfield role is Longstaff’s to lose after his display at Elland Road.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin fails to build on Wolves goal
Dominic Calvert-Lewin impressed for Leeds in their win against Wolves, but failed to repeat that display at home to the Cherries.
The 28-year-old had several very good chances to get his side almost clear by the halfway point, but failed to take any of them.
In general, he caused issues for the Bournemouth backline, but a striker is judged on his ability to score the goals to win games, and on this occasion, Calvert-Lewin failed to do so.
On this occasion, it proved costly, with Leeds settling for a point in the end.
