Rob Green in agreement with Stuart Attwell after Leeds United controversy vs West Ham
Leeds United secured a valuable three points at home to West Ham in a game that had several contentious incidents.
A 2-1 win for Leeds against West Ham relieved some of the pressure on Daniel Farke, who was starting to feel the heat after just one win from their previous five.
Joe Rodon was on the scoresheet for Leeds, as was Brenden Aaronson, with the Whites barely having to get out of first gear on the night.
However, both goals arrived in slightly controversial circumstances, with former Leeds goalkeeper Rob Green having his say.

Brenden Aaronson’s goal had a question of offside
Leeds needed to start Friday night’s clash well, and they certainly did.
The Whites were on the front foot immediately and took the lead through Aaronson after just three minutes.
Noah Okafor’s headed effort was parried into the path of Aaronson, who made no mistake from just a few yards out.
However, the ball flew past Dominic Calvert-Lewin on its way into the net, who was standing in an offside position.
Stuart Attwell saw no reason to disallow the goal, and when analysing it on Sky Sports Premier League, Green was in agreement.
He said: “There was no reaction from Alphonse Areola in terms of going to the referee.
“But the question was whether he could see the ball. He can clearly see the ball. So, despite Calvert-Lewin being offside, he’s not actually impeding Alphonse Areola.”
Semi-Automated offside was not in action for Leeds vs West Ham
Leeds’ opening goal was not a question as to whether Calvert-Lewin was offside or not; instead, it was about whether he impacted the play.
However, an incident later in the game was.
West Ham thought they had pulled a goal back through Lucas Paqueta, only to see the goal disallowed after an agonising wait that seemed to last an age.
The reason for that was that the semi-automated offside technology was once again not working, for the second time this week in the Premier League.
It didn’t impact the game, with the right call made in the end, though it paints yet another poor image of the way these new rules and operations are affecting the sport.
