Rasmus Kristensen stuns Jeff Stelling and Michael Dawson in Leeds United vs Newcastle live on Sky Sports
Jeff Stelling and Michael Dawson were left stunned by Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen’s equalising goal in the 2-2 draw against Newcastle at Elland Road on Saturday (13 May).
Sam Allardyce’s side picked up a battling point in their fight against relegation, with goals from the 25-year-old defender and Luke Ayling matching a pair of penalties from Magpies forward Callum Wilson.
Speaking live on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, Stelling was amazed by the topsy-turvy encounter in West Yorkshire, which included four goals, three penalties and a red card.

“An unbelievable game going on at Elland Road at the moment, the ball is in the net,” he said [Saturday, 13 May, 14:08pm]
“Is this one going to stand? If it does, Leeds are level!
“It’s unbelievable Jeff,” Dawson replied.
“It’s Kristensen. The ball goes deep into the box. Patrick Bamford heads it into Botman, it comes off his arm.
“I thought it might go to VAR, but regardless, it comes back to Kristensen and he just whips the ball. I think it takes a slight deflection because Nick Pope goes one way, the ball goes the other way.”
“Yeah, great strike, it takes a slight deflection off Dan Burn and Nick Pope has absolutely no chance.”

Battling performance
Although things didn’t go entirely their way on Saturday, Allardyce’s side showed their fighting colours to pick up what could be a crucial point in their battle against relegation.
Patrick Bamford’s blushes were spared after having his weak penalty saved in the first half, while Junior Firpo will be extremely relieved that his late red card didn’t come back to bite his side in added time.
Allardyce will have mixed emotions about the clash against the Champions League-chasing Magpies, with his side having more than enough chances to take all three points but also falling perilously close to losing the match altogether.
Kristensen hasn’t had many bright notes in his first season in a Leeds United top, but this will certainly go down as a crowning moment if the club go on to beat the drop.
The Denmark international was in the right place at the right time to strike his effort home and send the Leeds United faithful home on a positive note.
