‘Quality’, ‘On fire’ – Many Leeds fans blown away by player ‘looking class’ at HT v Wolves

Leeds United welcomed Wolves to Elland Road on Monday as they looked to continue their great start to the Premier League season.

Marcelo Bielsa made a number of changes, bringing back Rodrigo and Jack Harrison to his starting XI after the 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

Liam Cooper was named in the side but was forced out through injury, meaning Pascal Struijk came into the side at the last moment.

Helder Costa kept his spot despite Pablo Hernandez and new signing Raphinha being named on the bench.

It was the wingers’ first game against his former side since making his move permanent in the summer, and Nuno Santo was very complimentary of him before the game.

Costa started the game on fire and was at the heart of everything positive in the final third for the Whites – nearly forcing a penalty.

The 26-year-old has improved significantly in the Premier League and continued that in the first half on Monday evening.

Many Leeds fans were delighted with the first-half performance of Costa, claiming he started the clash on fire at Elland Road.

The majority of those claimed it was the winger showing why his former club shouldn’t have let him leave when they did.
