Pundit slams Leeds United midfield duo Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie for Everton display
Alexi Lalas has not been impressed with the conduct of Leeds United midfield duo Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie after their performance v Everton.
The Whites lost the game 1-0 and Adams and McKennie both picked up yellow cards in the contest.
Lalas slammed his fellow Americans for not doing the basics and looking to spark an argument each time things have not gone their way.
He said on his State of the Union Podcast, “Stop trying to be a hard a** and just pass the ball and just make the tackles that you can do and you can still be physical and get those ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’ without getting in the face of somebody every single time you feel you’ve been aggrieved, which is sometimes what we’re seeing with Tyler Adams.
“I love that he stands up for himself, I love that he stands up for his teammates but at times you look around and you’re like ‘what are you standing up for right now?’ It was just a hard tackle or something like that. You’re creating an incident or creating and creating an altercation where it doesn’t need to be.”

Now that Jesse Marsch is no longer at the club, Lalas has started criticising the Leeds players.
They showed fight for the jersey and were combative against Sean Dyche’s side – who embodies that style of play.
Going toe to toe with his team often means that you have to get your hands dirty and we’re sure that Leeds fans will have been impressed by that.
They’ve got good chemistry as they’ve played together for the United States and are expected to be the double pivot for the Whites under Javi Gracia.

We don’t think that the Spaniard is suddenly going to ask them to play any differently as he will be aware of what they’re good at.
Hopefully, Adams and McKennie end up on the winning side against Southampton so Lalas and all those who think they know better can be silenced.
