Prutton predicts Millwall v Leeds

Leeds United travel to Millwall on Saturday as they look to extend their lead at the top of the Championship, and Sky pundit David Prutton thinks Marcelo Bielsa’s men will claim all three points.

Millwall’s plans have been thrown into disarray after manager Neil Harris quit the club this week after four-and-a-half years in charge.

His assistant David Livermore has also left which means that it will fall to coach Adam Barrett to take charge of the game against Leeds on Saturday.

However, Prutton doesn’t think it will be a walkover for Leeds, predicting a tight 2-1 win for the visitors.

Writing in his column for Sky Sports Prutton said, “Millwall are struggling to score goals, so when they do take the lead as they did at Luton, they are going to need to hold onto those 1-0s if they want to avoid a relegation battle. On Wednesday night they couldn’t quite hold on.

“Leeds got arguably their most impressive win of the campaign against West Brom in midweek. It was the first time they haven’t dominated for 90 minutes in a long time, but they showed superb resilience to hold out for the win. They should have too much for Millwall.”

The bookies agree with the Sky Sports pundit, making Leeds as short as 8/11 to win the game. Millwall are over 4/1 to spring a shock, with the draw at 3/1.

Last season, Leeds drew 1-1 in the corresponding fixture and beat Millwall 3-2 at Elland Road. One thing is certain, a trip to The Den is never easy, for players or for fans.
