Prutton predicts Leeds v Derby
Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has plumped for a safe home win when Leeds take on Derby on Saturday.
A win would keep Leeds on top of the league unless Swansea heavily outscore them and Prutton has gone for a 2-0 scoreline.
It would mean that Leeds would have only conceded three goals in eight Championship games, an absolutely cracking record at this stage in the season.
“Well well! Safe to say this is a fixture with a bit of recent history behind it,” Prutton said on the Sky Sports website.
“We may not have Frank Lampard involved anymore but after Spygate and that play-off semi-final, second leg there should be plenty of needle at Elland Road on Saturday.
“Leeds are top of the table heading into the weekend and the gap between themselves and Derby looks to have grown this season. I can’t see past this being a home win.”
It’s a safe prediction. Leeds won three out of four games against Derby last season and have improved with the addition of Ben White, Helder Costa and Eddie Nketiah.
Derby have lost Mason Mount, Harry Wilson, Fikayo Tomori and manager Frank Lampard. They’re a better side than the 19th place they’re currently in, but they shouldn’t be a match for Leeds if Bielsa’s men can convert their dominance into goals. 2-0 sounds about right.
