Predicted Leeds XI v Millwall

We’ve done a bit of moaning about Patrick Bamford this season – not a lot, mind you – but we were singing his praises after the win against West Brom.

Words like “warrior” were bandied about by Leeds fans and Bamford was awarded the man-of-the-match trophy by Sky Sports.

Poor Eddie Nketiah didn’t even get on the pitch and he’s going to have to wait longer for his first Championship start – he won’t be getting it away at Millwall on Saturday.

Manager Marcelo Bielsa has been forced into changes, though. Liam Cooper is out for six weeks, Jamie Shackleton is out for four, so Saturday’s line-up will depend on who’s returning from injury.

We think Pablo Hernandez will make it, with Adam Forshaw perhaps on the bench. Hernandez will take the number 10 position with Helder Costa out on the wing.

Gaetano Berardi will start in the centre of defence.

If Hernandez is fit then it’s a team that we like, despite the absence of Cooper, although we’ll be looking for Berardi to be on his very best behaviour. With Pascal Struijk out injured too, we’re looking dangerously short at the back.

Here’s the side that should get all three points against a Millwall side struggling in 18th place in the league.
