Predicted Leeds starting XI v West Ham after confirmed team news

Leeds United go into their Premier League clash against West Ham tomorrow still looking for their first win of the season.

The Whites are going through somewhat of an injury crisis at Elland Road, with numerous first-team stars out injured.

Marcelo Bielsa confirmed that he would be without Diego Llorente, Robin Koch and Patrick Bamford against the Irons with other doubts.

Illan Meslier will continue in between the sticks, and look to continue his momentum after that penalty shootout win over Fulham.

Luke Ayling looked troubled against Newcastle when limping off, and will leave his right-back spot to Stuart Dallas.

That opens the door to Charlie Cresswell to start in defence alongside Liam Cooper who was rested through the week.

Junior Firpo is finally finding his feet after stringing some performances together, and he will look to build on that tomorrow.

All of this means that Kalvin Phillips will take up his familiar starting position in holding midfield at Elland Road.

This is where it could get tricky.

Mateusz Klich will start in central midfield once again, with Rodrigo ahead of him as Bielsa looks to make that playmaker role work.

There is also a guaranteed start for Dan James on the left-hand side and he will be loving the amount of football he is getting at this moment in time.

Raphinha is also a doubt for this game, but the Brazilian will be raring to get going again, and having not been fully ruled out, we’re backing him to start.

That leaves the small task of replacing Bamford, and Tyler Roberts looks likely to get the nod, lets just hope he can finish better than he did at Fulham.
