Predicted Leeds starting line-up v Stoke

Leeds play Stoke again on Tuesday night just days after hammering them 3-0 in the league at the bet365 Stadium.

It’s likely to be a very different looking team to Saturday although it will be very familiar if you watched the first round Carabao game against Salford.

Marcelo Bielsa loves an unchanged line-up and it’s very likely that he’ll name the same cup team, which still looks plenty strong enough to get past a sorry-looking Stoke side.

Liam Cooper didn’t play on Saturday and he’s unlikely to be risked on Tuesday, which means Leif Davis and Ben White playing at the heart of the defence again, with Ezgjan Alioski and Gaetano Berardi on the flanks.

Eddie Nketiah and Helder Costa are the big victims of Bielsa’s team selection policy and they should both start against Stoke. Both players would surely walk into any first team in the Championship, so there’s not much respite for Nathan Jones and Stoke there.

Jack Clarke is the victim of Leeds having six loan players and he’s been dropped from the Championship squads. This should be his chance to prove that Bielsa should include him for the match against Swansea at the weekend.
