Phil Hay shares angry altercation between Kevin Friend & Marcelo Bielsa in Leeds draw

Leeds United battled their way to a 0-0 draw against Chelsea in their Premier League clash on Saturday afternoon.

The Whites had numerous problems to deal with at Elland Road, with the likes of Patrick Bamford being forced off with a fresh injury.

It was a feisty encounter in West Yorkshire, with the rivalry between both sides well and truly being reignited in the top flight.

Ezgjan Alioski is usually at the heart of most things controversial for Leeds, and he found himself somewhat lucky to stay on the pitch at one point.

After already committing a foul, the Macedonian international started complaining too much for the officials liking.

Phil Hay has reported on his personal Twitter account that sparked an angry altercation between Kevin Friend and Marcelo Bielsa.

“Alioski booked for a foul on Werner. Bielsa says something to Kevin Friend. Friend: There’s no need to shout at me.”

To say the Premier League is the best division in the world, the officials in there aren’t exactly catching the headlines for positive reasons this season.

Mike Dean made everything about him in the 2-0 defeat against West Ham, and although Friend was slightly better today, he didn’t have many plaudits.

On numerous different occasions, he was too card friendly and acted too quickly to dish out cautions at Elland Road, to the likes of Rodrigo.

Bielsa clearly wasn’t happy, and he had every right not to be.

Mason Mount even caught Luke Ayling with an elbow at one stage, but Friend obviously didn’t see that one and it was classed as accidental.

The one complaint is clearly consistency, and it needs to happen much sooner.
