Paul Robinson: Bielsa will axe Leeds flop v Everton

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United

Paul Robinson has said that Jack Harrison will start in place of Helder Costa for Leeds United against Liverpool on Monday.

Harrison dropped out of the side for the game against Man City that Leeds ended winning 2-1 in a big Premier League shock. He was ineligible to play against his parent club.

Costa had a good game but Robinson doesn’t believe it will be enough to keep Harrison out of the side after a string of disappointing performances from the Portuguese winger this season.

Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News Robinson said, “Jack comes back in on Monday – he starts for me.

“Costa played well but Harrison has done nothing to lose his place, he’s just a victim of circumstance.

“For me, he keeps his place because he’s been playing better than Costa recently. Costa has put in some really poor performances this season.

“For me, Jack comes back in for what is a free hit for me against Liverpool.

“The result against Man City was sensational, Leeds are completely safe in the Premier League, and anything they get now is a bonus.

“That makes Leeds a very dangerous team to play against at the moment.”

Harrison and Costa have both been wildly inconsistent this season but the Man City loanee has been the better of the two.

He’s also found some good form recently, with a goal in the 2-1 win against Sheffield United ahead of the Man City clash.

However, Costa may well get a reprieve if Raphinha doesn’t make the game – he’s set for a late fitness test ahead of the Monday night game.
