Paul Dickov blown away by ‘outstanding’ Leeds ace Stuart Dallas v Man City

Paul Dickov has lavished praise on Leeds United midfielder Stuart Dallas after the Premier League clash against Manchester City.

The Northern Ireland international opened the scoring at the Etihad Stadium, firing home a low drive after a nice ball from Patrick Bamford.

The BBC pundit, Dickov, labelled the efforts of Dallas as “outstanding” as he once again was handed that all-important midfield role by Marcelo Bielsa.

Speaking during live radio coverage for the BBC, Dickov mentioned the likes of Raphinha but singled out the Northern Irishman for his role.

“Leeds have been not just compact in defence, but when they have got the ball, they have gone forward with real intent,” he said.

“We’ve spoken about Raphinha before but Stuart Dallas has been outstanding for Leeds.”

Matchwinner.

Is there anything that Dallas can’t do?

This is a player who couldn’t even get many games at Elland Road for the first two years at the club, and now he is one of the first names on the teamsheet in the Premier League.

If you told the utility man that he would have been scoring two goals at the Etihad for the Whites a couple of years ago, he surely would have laughed.

Dallas has earned that with his phenomenal levels of consistency and skill, and he is correctly being lavished in praise from all angles.

Bielsa won’t trust many players more than Dallas, and he continues to surprise us every single week in the Premier League; what a player.
