Pat Nevin blown away by ‘absolutely superb’ Leeds star vs Brentford, it’s not Calvert-Lewin
Dominic Calvert-Lewin was the hero for Leeds United as they snatched a late point against Brentford in the Premier League.
Jordan Henderson scored the opener midway through the second half, but Calvert-Lewin rose highest to head home the equaliser eight minutes from time.
The centre-forward has now scored in each of his last four games for Leeds, helping Daniel Farke’s side move away from the Premier League relegation zone.
However, former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin highlighted one of Calvert-Lewin’s teammates in the 1-1 draw at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Noah Okafor ‘the best player’ for Leeds
Noah Okafor has been criticised for his performances at times this season, but Farke is trusting the forward to play alongside Calvert-Lewin in Leeds’ new 5-3-2 system.
The 25-year-old made the move from AC Milan to Elland Road over the summer, and now seems to be settling into Premier League life.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Nevin highlighted the performance of Okafor in Leeds’ draw with Brentford.
He said: “Okafor has been the best player in the Leeds team today. He’s been absolutely superb.
“Henderson in red and white and Okafor in blue – the two that really stood out.”

Okafor played the majority of the contest in West London before being replaced by Jack Harrison for the final few minutes.
Noah Okafor can help Dominic Calvert-Lewin
Calvert-Lewin had a difficult start to life at Leeds, but since Farke switched to a system with two frontmen, he has looked like a completely different player.
Lukas Nmecha was initially utilised as the former England international’s strike partner, but after the German picked up an injury, Okafor was given the chance up top.
Following a good performance against Brentford, Okafor is likely to retain his place in the starting lineup.

The Swiss international will hope to build a partnership with Calvert-Lewin over the next few weeks and prove he is the perfect foil to the former Everton man.
Leeds are now three points clear of the Premier League relegation zone, and with games against Crystal Palace and Sunderland coming up in the next few weeks, they will hope to pull further away from the bottom three.
