Pascal Struijk to miss Leeds United v Manchester United, Wilfried Gnonto issue also concerns Sky Sports pundit
Pascal Struijk won’t be available for Leeds United when they welcome Manchester United to Old Trafford on Sunday, according to Darren Ambrose.
Struijk, 23, was forced off in the 23rd minute of Leeds’ 2-2 draw at Old Trafford due to a concussion on Wednesday night (8 February).
Ex-Charlton player Ambrose was covering the game for Sky Sports News and after full-time, he predicted a number of changes to happen to the Leeds line-up when they take on Man United in the reverse fixture at Elland Road this weekend.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Wednesday night (8 February, 10:05pm), Ambrose said: “I think it’s going to be two different teams [when they meet this weekend], particularly for Leeds.
“We’ve seen Pascal Struijk come off with concussion so he won’t play any part. Sinisterra picked up a hamstring injury. Gnonto finished the game but he looked like he picked up a sore one.”
Bad timing
Michael Skubala and co did brilliantly on Wednesday to get a point at Old Trafford.
It could’ve been three points if it wasn’t for Man United getting a bit lucky ahead of Jadon Sancho’s goal when Luke Shaw’s cross deflected right into the England forward’s path.
Leeds fans should be encouraged by what they saw but it doesn’t mean that things will be any easier this weekend when the two sides meet again at Elland Road.

Struijk’s form lately has been troubling so it’ll be interesting to see if Max Wober is moved to left-back or if faith is shown in Junior Firpo.
As for Wilfried Gnonto, we really hope there are no issues for him because Ambrose seemed to notice the Italy international have some kind of issue on Wednesday in Manchester.
He’s been a revelation in recent months and Leeds’ survival hopes really are being pinned more and more on the teenage ace.
