'Our best striker' - Many Aberdeen fans react to debut of Ryan Edmondson v Rangers
Leeds United youngster Ryan Edmondson finally made a loan switch on Friday, moving to Aberdeen on loan.
The 19-year-old is clearly not favoured by Marcelo Bielsa, although he is expected to sign a new deal at Elland Road after sealing the temporary exit.
Derek McInnes is going through somewhat of an attacking injury crisis at the beginning of the season, with Sam Cosgrove and Curtis Main remaining sidelined.
Looking on at proceedings at Pittodrie, Rangers won a dire game 1-0 thanks to Ryan Kent, with the signs only positive for Edmondson.
The young forward would have been watching on thinking that he has a great opportunity to cement a spot after Bruce Anderson failed to make any impact.
Edmondson actually came on to the pitch with half-an-hour to go, impressing despite not having trained with the squad much up in Scotland.

In the 25 minutes he featured, Edmondson was fouled once and also managed a defensive clearance according to WhoScored – staying strong against Conor Goldson.
With Anderson failing to impress in the final third, the Leeds youngster certainly has a great chance of starting his first senior game in almost three years.
This experience will be vital for Edmondson, and Leeds fans were delighted that Bielsa decided to let the forward take the plunge.
But, what did the Aberdeen fans make of his debut? It appeared as if they were happy with the striker, the majority even claimed that he was one of the only shining lights.

They were much sharper today. No complaints at all. Ojo very poor. Campbell and Edmondson to start next game. No creativity or invention. Match fitness is miles off!

80 minutes of PISH, followed by 10 minutes of decent fitba but far far far too late.
Edmondson looks decent, Ronny had a decent game, subs that came on got stuck in but just nowhere near good enough https://t.co/ElTGgQEdGN

Anderson didn't help himself either, let's not ignore that. Edmondson was on park 5 mins and offered more of a presence up front.

Pretty disappointing. Created nothing. I guess we defended alright apart from the goal. Edmondson looks alright. Thought Hedges looked good when he came on. Anderson just doesn't fit the way we play. I like him and think he will score goals but we need someone to hold the ball up

Edmondson, hedges, mcginn and Campbell and staking serious claims to start next week. Totally diffrent game when then came on. Bryson top don for me, Hernandez still finding his feet. Anderson isolated but nowhere near enough pressing from him, Edmondson offered so much more.

Ronald Hernandez is a massive improvement from Shay Logan and that Edmondson looks like he could be our best striker

Edmondson and Hernandez the only positives about today.

Aberdeen from today look like they need to change in style or need a new striker. They offered very little going forward Edmondson looks like he might be a better fit than Anderson
