'Null and voiders crying' – These Leeds fans react to major Monday development
The Scottish Premiership was ended early on Monday and Celtic confirmed as champions after a points-per-game model was applied.
The same end to the Championship would see Leeds United go up as champions and Whites fans see this development as yet more positive news.
Not everyone appreciated it as much. At the other end of the table, Hearts have been relegated but are now threatening legal action if an agreement over an expanded Premiership can’t be found for next season.
Back in England, all talk at the moment is still about getting the Championship and the Premier League back on the pitch in mid-June.
However, some Leeds fans can’t see this happening and some seem to be very happy at the prospect of winning the title on PPG.
One fan said, “I’ll be very surprised if we play another game, said that for ages.”
Another fan replied saying, “Seeing more leagues finishing on PPG, it gets more and more positive for us, it’s going to happen soon”.
@LewisDeighton17 can you see Leeds going up on May 25th now with Celtic being crowned champions of the Scottish Premiership? #LUFC

Another fan said that if Leeds United find out about promotion off the pitch and send out a tweet announcing it, he’s “printing it out and framing it forever”.
It would certainly be a very weird end to a very strange season.

This is going to be how we find out we're promoted, isn't it? #lufc pic.twitter.com/f472VFndKb

Another fan said, “Null and voiders crying into their copies of the Sun” and it does seem that that scenario – the only disaster scenario for Leeds – is well and truly off the table.
That’s great news for Leeds and for the prospect of seeing Premier League football at Elland Road next season.
