‘Nothing serious’ – Injury analyst shares major Leeds update on Patrick Bamford before WBA clash
Injury analyst Ben Dinnery has shared a major boost over the fitness of Leeds United forward Patrick Bamford ahead of the West Brom clash.
The number nine had been classed as a doubt for the trip to the Hawthorns later this evening, with Marcelo Bielsa uncertain over his fitness.
Dinnery, who has worked for the likes of talkSPORT and the Athletic, shared that Bamford’s issue is “nothing serious.”
Writing on his personal Twitter account ahead of the clash, Dinnery claimed it was nothing more than a dead leg bothering Bamford.
“Patrick Bamford confirmed he picked up a dead leg in the challenge with Nick Pope which won him the penalty on Sunday,” he said. “But nothing serious.”
This would be a huge boost for the Whites.
Bamford has been at the centre of everything for Leeds this season, and his 10 goals in 15 games in the best record from a promoted striker since 2000.
Marcelo Bielsa will have been racking his mind of solutions to use at the Hawthorns should he had been ruled out, with Tyler Roberts and Rodrigo both options.
Hopefully, the day of rest yesterday was enough for the striker to recover from this dead leg, afterall, he did get through the entire game after this collision.
If the impact was so bad, surely he won’t have been risked given his importance and would have been taken off – fingers crossed.
