Norwich City player Borja Sainz slammed after what he did in draw v Leeds United

Luke Chambers slammed Norwich City star Borja Sainz live on Sky Sports after a “really poor” challenge on Leeds United man Brenden Aaronson.

The Whites could only manage a draw at Carrow Road as the home side limited them to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday (1 October), opening through a Josh Sargent penalty before Largie Ramazani equalised.

There were plenty of contentious moments during the game with six cards awarded by the referee throughout a feisty encounter – four of those to Leeds players.

While speaking on Sky Sports (1 October), pundit Chambers was left unamused by one foul on Aaronson by Sainz which went unpunished.

He said: “That’s got to be a yellow card, come on. It’s a really poor challenge, he’s got nowhere near the ball. Referee that’s poor.”

It was a difficult first half for the away side in which they had the better share of possession but failed to breach the Norwich backline throughout.

The likes of Mateo Joseph were struggling to get through with Wilfried Gnonto being relied on to get in behind down the wings.

Things did improve early on in the second half as Largie Ramazani grabbed his second goal for the club since confirming a move over the summer.

After the goal, things fell into a similar pattern with the home side having a few chances while the Whites struggled to make their possession count.

The game eventually just drifted away from Leeds as they just couldn’t make it stick at the top of the pitch.

It was a frustrating draw but things could have gone differently if the referee had continued his trigger-happy approach to cards throughout the clash.
