Neil Redfern wowed by what Daniel James did in Leeds United win v Luton Town
Former Leeds United manager Neil Redfern was wowed by Daniel James in the 3-0 win over Luton Town on Wednesday.
The Welsh winger scored the Whites’ third goal in the 81st minute just 12 minutes after replacing Wilfried Gnonto at Elland Road (27 November).
The win means that Daniel Farke’s side return to the summit of the Championship after Sheffield United, Burnley and Sunderland had overtaken them on Tuesday (26 November).
Former Whites boss Redfern thinks that his former team have the best attacking trio in the league, saying on BBC Radio Leeds: “Leeds have the best three wide players in the division by a country mile. Dan James could be the best attacking player in the Championship.”
“I think we are seeing the best of him now. He does not need that long in the game to make his mark.”
Dan James impresses again for Leeds United
The Welshman was dropped from the starting XI against Luton despite a great display in the 4-3 victory against Swansea on Sunday.
James was credited with two assists for the opener and the winner in the contest and it was his cross that led Ben Cabango to put the ball into his own net for the equalising goal when the Whites restored parity early in the second-half.
Wilfried Gnonto, who is one booking away from a suspension, was preferred after he scored the last-gasp winner in Wales (24 November) as Daniel Farke continued to leave the opposition guessing with his team selections.

The 27-year-old has contributed with three goals and notched two assists in 11 Championship appearances and impressed again when he came on against the Hatters.
His goal was a superbly taken dink over the onrushing goalkeeper similar to a chance Pascal Struijk prevented earlier on in the game.
Together with Gnonto and Manor Soloman, Redfern is probably right, Leeds have the most dangerous attacking trio in the division at the moment.
