‘Needs dropping,’ ‘So poor’ – Many Leeds fans destroy ‘Awful’ 28y/o at HT v Burnley

Leeds United got off to the perfect start in their Premier League clash with Burnley on Sunday afternoon at Elland Road.

After Nick Pope brought down Patrick Bamford in the box, the striker dusted himself down to smash home the penalty.

It stayed that way going into the break, although Leeds missed a number of brilliant chances to make it more as the half went on.

It could have been much better, with Ezgjan Alioski getting into numerous dangerous positions down the left.

The Macedonian has been heavily criticised in recent weeks, and it is clear to see why when the opposition can expose him so easily.

One major complaint is his final delivery when in dangerous positions, and he wasted a great chance to slide the ball across to double the lead in the opening 10 minutes.

According to WyScout, only 25% of his through passes have been accurate this season, and that is nowhere near good enough.

Many Leeds fans have reacted to the first-half display of Alioski on Sunday, claiming that he is nowhere near good enough to be a consistent starter.

Some even suggested that he has to be dropped sooner rather than later, with West Brom next up on Tuesday evening.
