MOT View: Bielsa must unleash U23 beast v Everton after yet another Leeds injury reported
There’s always a risk playing first-team players in the Under-23s, especially when the game is so close to a Leeds United first-team outing.
Ian Poveda is the latest victim, with the winger being helped off on Monday afternoon after picking up a foot or ankle problem in the second half of the 2-0 win over Sunderland.
That’s really bad timing with Raphinha also a doubt for the game after going off in the win against Leicester.
If both wingers are out, it means that Leeds have just Jack Harrison and Helder Costa as senior options against Everton.
But that could hand a huge opportunity to Under-23 star Crysencio Summerville.
Summerville hasn’t made it onto the first-team bench yet but we think Marcelo Bielsa must unleash him against Everton.

Summerville has had plenty of first-team experience in the Eredivisie after playing 21 times for top-flight side Den Haag last season. Moving up to the first-team won’t phase him at all.
He’s suffered from some injuries at Leeds but came storming back with a stunning hat-trick in the recent Under-23s game against Burnley.
Burnley just couldn’t cope with his guile or speed and some fans wanted to see him in the first-team then, with one saying he was “miles better” than Costa.
And he showed incredible vision in that game too, linking up with Charlie Cresswell, Liam McCarron and Bobby Kamwa brilliantly for his second goal of that game.
He was doing the same thing for Den Haag before he signed for Leeds as the clip in the tweet below shows.
If #LUFC fans are wondering what to expect from Crysencio Summerville, it's a lot of this: dribbling and pace to burn. https://t.co/teGxFk1Z20

He might be slight but that hasn’t stopped Ian Poveda making an impact from the bench and we think Summerville can do the same.
And one Leeds fan said he looked better than Poveda in Monday’s Under-23s outing.
That summerville looks better than proveda to me…. From Dutch league I think???

He’s been a beast for the Under-23s this season and the injuries that Leeds have suffered could give him a massive chance on Wednesday.
