MOT Super Fans: Predicted Leeds line-up v Luton Town

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Leeds United Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Elland Road and Thorp Arch.

Leeds United get their Championship campaign back underway this weekend with a run of games that could go a long way towards deciding their fate this season.

They’ve got the easiest run of fixtures in the next six games according to top stats site Infogol, and they kick off against struggling Luton Town at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.

Team news came from Marcelo Bielsa’s press conference on Thursday. Barry Douglas, Ezgjan Alioski and Stuart Dallas are all fit to play. Jamie Shackleton, Adam Forshaw and Eddie Nketiah are out. Liam Cooper will have a late fitness test.

The team that beat Blackburn last time out was: Casilla / Dallas, Cooper, White, Ayling / Phillips / Harrison, Klich, Roberts, Costa / Bamford. Pablo Hernandez and Barry Douglas were on the bench – both are fully fit.

So, what team should Bielsa put out against Luton Town? That’s the question we posed our panel of Super Fans ahead of a game where three points is a must.

Bielsa likes to stick with an unchanged team and our Super Fans are starting to get on board, with the majority happy for the same team to go out again.

The only surprise is that just one – Adam Elliott – would bring Pablo Hernandez in, although as Adam Ross said, “We need to keep Pablo healthy going into the second half of the season which will give us a better chance of finishing the season stronger than last season.”

He makes a good point.

In other Leeds new… Player of the season so far for Leeds but ‘genuine interest’ from PL giants is a worry
