Michael Dawson stunned by what happened in ‘absolutely mental’ Leeds United win v Middlesbrough
Sky Sports pundit Michael Dawson was stunned by the “absolutely mental” Leeds United clash against Middlesbrough.
The former Tottenham defender made the comment during the first half of the Championship match at Elland Road on Saturday (2 December).
Daniel Farke’s side won the match 3-2 as Daniel James, Crysencio Summerville and Joel Piroe found the back of the net.

Emmanuel Latte Lath meanwhile netted a brace for Michael Carrick’s side, but it wasn’t enough for any points as the visitors dropped to 12th in the table.
“This game is absolutely mental,” Dawson said live on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday (3.22pm, 2 December). “End-to-end. What a game of football.”

It really was a superb game at Elland Road, and that has often been the case with Leeds under Farke this season. Initially though, it was frustrating for the manager as he could not turn draws into wins, but that has all changed now, with the Whites flying high.
The West Yorkshire club have put in several top displays in recent months to surge to third place in the Championship table, but it will still take some effort to overtake Ipswich Town and Leicester City.
Both the Foxes and the Tractor Boys have been imperious this season, and right now they look the most likely of securing automatic promotion to the Premier League.
There is, however, still a very, very long way to go, and Farke knows all too well just how much of a roller-coaster the Championship is.
The manager will be delighted at his free-scoring side, but he will also rage at how easily they conceded goals against Middlesbrough.
In other Leeds United news, a fresh stance on one Whites loanee has emerged as West Ham, Crystal Palace and Fulham eye the player.
