Micah Richards blown away by ‘wonderful’ Leeds United moment in 3-1 loss v West Ham United
Micah Richards was blown away by Rodrigo’s first-half finish for Leeds United during the Whites’ 3-1 loss against West Ham United.
The Spaniard fired Leeds in front before Declan Rice levelled with a smart finish for the hosts midway through the first half. Jarrod Bowen and Manuel Lanzini netted late on to give David Moyes’ side all three points
Talking on Sky Sports, Richards was full of praise for the Leeds United striker after the moment of brilliance.

“It’s a wonderful finish from Rodrigo,” said Richards (Sky Sports, 14:25pm, 21 May).
“He finds a little bit of space in the box and times it ever so well. A lot of players in that position would rush it. It’s absolutely brilliant. He just manages to get the right amount of height, speed and purchase.”
How are the nerves?
How are the nerves Leeds fans? The battle for survival will head to the final day. Sam Allardyce will be desperate for Bournemouth to do them a favour against Everton next Sunday. Anything is possible come the last day of the campaign and there will be plenty of twists and turns before the season is out.
The performances have improved under Allardyce but the results have badly alluded the Whites. The draw against Newcastle should have been a win and the loss to Manchester City certainly had its positives. Even the clash against the Hammers saw Leeds produce some good moments.

However, now Leeds’ fate is out of their hands. They’re firmly relying on Bournemouth to do them a massive favour against Everton next Sunday. Anything is possible, but the Toffees will fancy their chances of picking up three points at Goodison Park. At present, things look extremely bleak at Elland Road.
In other Leeds United news, one EFL club chief has refused to be drawn on links between him and the vacant director of football role after Victor Orta’s departure.
