Matthew Upson: Jack Harrison has been struggling for Leeds
Matthew Upson has not been impressed by Jack Harrison’s performances for Leeds United this season.
The English winger was signed on a permanent basis from Manchester City this summer but has failed to replicate the performances of 2020/21.
Due to the absence of Raphinha, he was handed a start against Southampton on Saturday.

Speaking on the world feed in the initial stages of the game, Upson, a Sky Sports pundit, said, “Jack Harrison has been struggling. He’s clearly not started the season strongly and will be hoping to improve here today”
Spot on
We’re yet to see the player who’s been putting in fantastic performances in front of the Elland Road faithful every other week in the Championship.
Last season, in the Premier League, even with no fans in the stands, he continued to put in stellar performances.
However, with fans back in, Harrison’s showings have are yet to return and it seems like he’s been on an extended vacation here.

Hopefully, his performances against Southampton help him stake a claim in the playing eleven as we all know just what a talented player he is.
He’s started this game on the right with Dan James on the left, hoping to replace Raphinha in the side.
While Harrison’s not at the same level as the Brazilian, he’s got the potential to reach there, and for that, he’s got to start putting in better performances for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
