Matt Holland drools over Leeds United forward Crysencio Summerville in 2-0 loss v Manchester United

Leeds United suffered a heart-breaking 2-0 loss against Manchester United in the Premier League at Elland Road on Sunday (12 February).

Matt Holland, who also works as a pundit for TalkSPORT, has been left impressed with the performance of Crysencio Summerville during the game and hailed him as “excellent” during one incident in the first half.

In the 45th minute of the game, Summerville rushed inside the opposition box after receiving a long pass from Robin Koch, got the better of Tyrell Malacia, and caused all sorts of problems.

“He’s been excellent, Summerville,” said Holland on Premier League World feed (12 February, 2.45 pm).

“He gets the better of Malacia again. There’s a mix-up between De Gea and Maguire, one or two claims for a foul, and they finally might be able to clear.”

Hurting

This is some performance from the Whites, and the scoreline doesn’t justify how well they played in the second half.

While United tried to slow things down and maintain possession, it was Leeds who made lion-share of attempts and created the best chances.

Summerville has been superb during the game. With his dazzling feet, he danced around the opposition defenders, and played out some smart passes in an around the box.

United were only left to hit from distances, and they came close in the 60th minute when Diogo Dalot managed to rattle the crossbar.

Despite the fact that the Whites are without a manager, they have looked really impressive under their caretaker boss. The defence looked solid throughout, even though they missed the likes of Pascal Struijk and Liam Cooper for this game.

Willy Gnonto has been livewire once again, but it was Summerville who really caused problems with his skill, pace, and movement.

However, one moment of brilliance from Marcus Rashford made all the difference between the two sides.

After that, the Whites lost their composure, and Alejandro Garnacho scored a fine goal to seal all three points. A disappointing end to a great half from Leeds.
