Marcelo Bielsa unsure how long Raphinha will be out for

Marcelo Bielsa confirms that Leeds United attacker Raphinha went out with a knock against Wolves at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

However, he claims that he does not how long the Brazilian will be out of action.

The 24-year-old only returned to the Leeds lineup for this game, and unfortunately could not even last for an hour after Romain Saiss’ horrendous challenge on him.

After the game, Bielsa said, via LeedsLive, “He has a knock but I don’t know the extent of it.”

Huge blow

Leeds dominated possession and created the majority of the chances in this game.

Most of that happened because of how lively the Brazilian was in the final third for them.

He was always looking to make things happen, taking players on for fun and fancying himself to score from outrageous positions on the pitch.

Without him, Leeds are bound to struggle, especially if they don’t have Patrick Bamford as a focal point.

Both Dan James and Jack Harrison have been underwhelming and none of them have the ability to carry the team with the kind of swagger as Raphinha does.

We’re hoping that this injury is not too serious as he is the last player Leeds will want to be missing at this stage of the season.

Given Raphinha taking to social media to address the injury, we’re hopeful that he’s back for the Arsenal EFL Cup game or next weekend’s league fixture against Norwich.
