Marcelo Bielsa hugged his coaching staff after Leeds United 3-1 win v Burnley

Marcelo Bielsa breathed a sigh of relief as Leeds United earned a 3-1 victory against Burnley at Elland Road.

BBC Leeds Editor Jonathan Buchan shared a brilliant picture on Twitter where Bielsa was seen hugging his coaching staff.

Goals from Jack Harrison, Stuart Dallas and Dan James earned all three points for the home side, who moved eight points clear of the relegation.

Buchan wrote on Twitter: “Marcelo Bielsa embraced a member of his coaching staff for a long…long time when the third went in. Shows you just what it means to him. Raw emotion.”

Relief

It’s a massive win for Leeds.

Bielsa is usually a calm and reserved man who doesn’t show enough emotions on the sidelines.

The pressure was gradually mounting on him after Leeds lost three consecutive games, conceding 14 goals in the process.

With the Whites still missing key players, and players affected by Covid are yet to recover to full fitness, this victory will galvanise the side, as they now look to build a solid momentum.

Leeds can play magical football under Bielsa, and today we just got a glimpse of how good they can be on their day.

After Burnley equalised, Leeds kept on searching for the second goal, instead of losing the way that we witnessed in some of their previous games.

They got the goal through Dallas, who made his 250th appearance for the club. It was a brilliant finish from him.

When James scored a late winning goal and put the final icing on the cake, it left the Elland Road crowd celebrating wildly.

Bielsa celebrated. A rare moment. This gesture is nothing but the Argentine’s raw emotion pouring out and shows everyone at the club are fighting together in times of adversity.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites want to sign this “fantastic” French midfielder in January with him set to quit his club.
