Many Leeds fans blown away by ‘world-class’ player v Millwall: ‘MOTM’, ‘Game of his life’

Mateusz Klich has been widely criticised for his performances in recent weeks that cannot be said about his display as Leeds United won 3-2 against Millwall on Tuesday night.

Klich, 29, has started every single Championship match since Marcelo Bielsa took charge at Elland Road in the summer of 2018 and over the last month or so, many have called for him to be dropped and rested by the Leeds boss.

It has been fair to criticise Klich for his recent displays. There have been too many games where he has gone missing in the middle of the park and not offered anywhere near enough going forward.

However, at Elland Road on Tuesday, that cannot be said about the Poland international.

Klich was superb in the midfield for Leeds, especially in the second half as Bielsa’s men came from two goals down to clinch all three points.

Although he missed a golden opportunity to score his fifth goal of the season towards the end, it was still a top display by him.

A lot of Leeds fans took to social media during the match to show how much they enjoyed the midfielder’s performance, with one even saying that he was “world-class” against Millwall.
