Leeds United returned to winning ways on Wednesday evening, beating Newcastle 5-2 at Elland Road.
The Whites dominated the game but fell behind early on through Jeff Hendrick. Patrick Bamford got the equaliser before the break.
Goals from Rodrigo, Stuart Dallas, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison sealed all three points for the Whites as our class finally shone through.
It was new signing Raphinha who caught the eye with glimpses of class.
Raphinha and Rodrigo were the main sources of danger for the Whites all evening and were critical in finding spaces while Newcastle sat deep.
The marquee signings are really starting to make a bigger influence on this side, and the Whites squad always searches for them when moving forward.
It was Raphinha who unlocked the Magpies defence with his lovely floated cross in the first half, and he was a constant thorn in the side of Jamal Lewis.
The South American was quieter in the second half, but still overall showed enough promise to prove that he will be a real weapon out wide.
Many Leeds fans have reacted to the performance of Raphinha on Wednesday evening, with one claiming that he is quickly becoming his favourite player.
The common theme within the reactions was that the Brazilian is clearly a class above the rest of the squad, and has a massive role to play this season.
