Manor Solomon starts as Ao Tanaka call made – Leeds United confirmed XI v Hull City

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has made one change to his Whites’ starting XI for the Championship clash with Hull City on Saturday 31 August.

The Leeds boss has handed Manor Solomon a first start in Whites colours as the Tottenham loanee comes into the fold to replace Dan James who missed out on the matchday squad in its entirety.

New signings Ao Tanaka and Largie Ramazani have to settle for places on the substitute bench while deadline-day arrival Isaac Schmidt and new teammate Patrick Bamford are both not included in the side whatsoever.

Can Ao Tanaka make his Leeds United debut v Hull City at Elland Road?

With the transfer window now done and dusted, supporters’ attention can finally turn completely back to matters on the pitch as the Whites look to head into the international break with two Championship wins under their belt.

Leeds United put in their best performance of the season against Sheffield Wednesday last time out as every single player impressed as they picked up a vital 2-0 win at Hillsborough.

Since then, Farke and the recruitment team have been incredibly busy adding to their ranks to try and bolster the squad for this season’s promotion push. Additions have been made all over the pitch to try and add some depth to the team.

The German was never likely to hand every single new signing a debut against the Tigers, especially after both Tanaka and Schmidt arrived so late in the summer window, but at least he has the options at his disposal now.

Hopefully, Leeds can head into the September international break with another win under their belt. After a quieter-than-expected deadline day, that would be enough to keep supporters happy for the next couple of weeks.
