Luke Ayling posts perfect reaction to embarrassing Leeds incident that Carragher laughed at

Jamie Carragher was losing the will to live at times on comms duty for the Leeds United v Man Utd game on Sunday.

No one was expecting a 0-0 draw, especially after the 6-2 reverse fixture, but the game at Elland Road didn’t live up to its billing.

And there were some pretty awful moments late on, not least a pass from Luke Ayling with the outside of his foot that ended up going in the opposite direction to where he intended and landing at Bruno Fernandes’ feet.

Carragher openly laughed at it on the Sky Sports coverage and Ayling proved he’s a good sport with his reaction on his Instagram story.

He posted a clip of the pass and said, “Kalvin Phillips – got to read that one mate” and added some eyes and a laughing out loud emoji.

Best in the PL

It’s no wonder Ayling is in such a good mood.

Leeds have drawn against Chelsea, Liverpool and Man United in recent weeks, and beaten Man City.

They’re sitting in ninth place in the league, above Arsenal, and we’re only six points behind Tottenham.

The season has exceeded expectations and after being criticised for conceding too many goals, the media seems to have gone quiet after we’ve only let in four in the last six, with games against Man City, Liverpool and Man United.

Ayling has been a huge part of the Leeds backline this season and has taken to life in the Premier League with ease.

He’s now made 92 successful tackles this season – more than any other Premier League player.
