Lucy Ward & Darren Fletcher stunned by Ezgjan Alioski in Leeds win v Burnley

Lucy Ward and Darren Fletcher were left shocked by Leeds United defender Ezgjan Alioski during the 4-0 win against Burnley this afternoon.

The Macedonian international went down clutching his face during the second half, and while the Clarets were aiming abuse at him, he continued to taunt them.

Replays showed Alioski sticking his tongue out, something that made the entirety of West Yorkshire rolling with laughter.

Speaking during BT Sports’ live commentary of the game, Fletcher was clearly shocked by the actions of Alioski as he was ruffling feathers.

“I’ve seen it all now,” he said.

“I thought in this crazy season I couldn’t be shocked anymore, but that has shocked me.”

Ward clearly agreed as she watched live replays of Alioski causing an absolute scene in the middle of Turf Moor during the route.

“What is he doing?”

Love it.

If there was one moment to describe Alioski, it would be this.

Burnley appeared to be screaming and shouting in the face of whichever Leeds player if they went down injured, and the Duracell bunny of Elland Road clearly wasn’t happy with it.

We don’t condone pushing the buttons of opposition players when it goes physical, but Alioski was clearly just joking around.

The officials got Marcelo Bielsa and Sean Dyche involved like it was a playground scuffle, but there was nothing to it in the end.

Players and officials will know about Alioski, how could you not? It is best to let him get on with it, but it will be him going back home with all three points this evening.
