'Looked terrified', 'Our best player' – These Leeds fans torn over display of one man v Barnsley
Well, that was one of the weirdest, toughest and most uncomfortable Leeds United games we’ve ever sat through.
Leeds got the three points which is all that matters at the end of the day. And what a three points. it means that Leeds will be promoted if either West Brom or Brentford drop any points.
West Brom play Huddersfield tomorrow and then Brentford take on Stoke on Saturday.
If they both win we just need a point against Derby on Sunday.
But Leeds will need to play better than they did today. We can’t remember a more disorganised display from Leeds under Bielsa.
The formation never seemed settled and the players didn’t seem to know where they were playing or what they should be doing in the first half.

That carried on into the second period when Bielsa made one of the oddest subs we’ve seen him make – Jack Harrison for Pascal Struijk.
Struijk has only played seven minutes of football this season but, in the absence of Phillips, the young centre-back moved into centre midfield. And that showed how far things had fallen apart today.
He was put on because Bielsa was obviously deeply concerned about how Barnsley – rock bottom of the Championship – were getting on top in the second 45 and really threatening an equaliser.
But Struijk didn’t look comfortable to begin with – not surprising for someone who has played so little football this season.
One fan said he looked “terrified” while another said he didn’t look like he wanted to be on the pitch.
We think that’s a bit much. The 20-year-old was being asked to play out of position in a really high-pressure environment.
And when Struijk settled into the game he looked absolutely excellent given the circumstances and did the job he was put on to do. Some fans acknowledged it once they’d got over the shock of him coming on…
Struijk as been our best player since he came on

However, he contributed to the stress levels of these Leeds fans for the first 15 minutes of his cameo today…
Bielsa bringing on Pascal Struijk feels like Izzy Brown coming on against Derby last season. Big 15 minutes ahead #LEEBAR #LUFC
