Liam Cooper and Sam Byram starts, Luke Ayling axed – Confirmed Leeds United XI v Watford
Daniel Farke has made 4 changes to his Leeds starting lineup for the Championship clash with Watford this afternoon, the club have confirmed.
Sam Byram, Liam Cooper, Crysencio Summerville and Glen Kamara all start for the Whites as Luke Ayling, Joe Rodon, Wilfried Gnonto and Archie Gray drop out of the side.
Jamie Shackleton continues at full-back, while deadline day signing Jaidon Anthony is named on the bench once more.
Mateo Joseph and Joe Gelhardt are named on the substitutes bench, but there is no space for Patrick Bamford despite his return to training.
Momentum
It’s been a very busy week for Leeds, and for the most part it’s gone really well for the club and for Farke.
Consecutive clean sheets and four points from trips to Millwall and Hull can only be considered a good thing, and now we can top if off with three points at Elland Road for the first time this season.
The team is strong despite changes and potential tired legs named in the side, and there is plenty of confidence and good feeling around the club.

A win now though is vital to start climbing up the table and really start making a push towards promotion, and there are players still battling it out for their shirt to become cemented in the manager’s best team.
But now with the fans behind him it’s time for performances and goals to start rolling in from the manager and players, and this is a big opportunity in the absence of Wilfried Gnonto to stake a claim.
