Leeds vs Man United postponement update as Met Office upgrade snow and ice warning
Leeds and Manchester United finally meet for the first time in the Premier League this season on Sunday afternoon.
Daniel Farke will hope to pull off another impressive result for the Whites as Man United travel to Elland Road to face Leeds in a high-stakes Premier League encounter.
Leeds and Man United have a long history of hatred, and the Whites’ recent form makes the showdown even more unpredictable.
Farke’s side grabbed a point against Liverpool last time out in the league, with an impressive 0-0 draw at Anfield, while the Red Devils dropped points at home to relegation-threatened Wolves.
Both sides will be hoping for a bragging-rights win on 4 January, though a recent weather update may prove a tricky obstacle for Ruben Amorim and Farke.

Yellow weather warning set around Leeds vs Manchester United
Elland Road is Leeds’ fortress, and Farke will be hoping the voice of the fans will give his side another lift over Manchester United this weekend.
The German head coach rotated his team heavily against Liverpool, and may have to do the same in this game to throw Amorim off.
The Met Office has now updated a yellow weather warning for Sunday, which initially covered parts of Manchester, to now most of the city, with forecasted conditions edging closer to West Yorkshire.
Snow and ice have been predicted to cause potential disruption on the day, with railway and road journeys likely to be affected.
- One to three centimetres of snow are expected to fall in parts of the highlighted areas by Monday morning
- There is potential for there to be five to eight centimetres of snow in some areas
- Icy patches are likely to form widely across the region
Conditions can still change from now until matchday, and Elland Road could very well be affected by the snow and ice that is expected to hit the UK.

Supporters are urged to plan their trip to LS11 accordingly and to keep an eye out for further weather developments.
Daniel Farke has to find Ethan Ampadu solution vs Manchester United
Ethan Ampadu picked up a controversial yellow card versus Liverpool, with many of the opinion that the Leeds man was wrongfully penalised for an unfair handball call.
Regardless, the Whites are powerless to contest the decision, as their Welsh star will miss the United clash due to reaching the Premier League’s yellow card limit.
Farke will have to come up with a plan to combat Ampadu’s absence, and his answer is surely in the form of Ao Tanaka.
The Japanese midfielder has been in and out of Farke’s starting lineups, but his everlasting energy could prove key when Leeds face Man United.
The Whites boss could opt to play Brenden Aaronson in a midfield three, as he has done in recent matches; however, Tanaka would be a more suitable option to break up the Red Devils’ attacks.
