Leeds United vs Plymouth Argyle result predicted by Sky Sports pundit amid ‘real hope’ verdict
David Prutton has predicted Leeds United to follow up their “brilliant” victory at Leicester City with a comfortable win over Plymouth Argyle.
In his weekly Sky Sports column on 9 November the pundit said that the Whites have a “real hope of clawing” their way up to the Foxes and Ipswich Town above them and has backed Daniel Farke’s side to record a 3-1 victory at Elland Road on Saturday (11 November).
This weekend’s visitors currently sit in 15th place in the Championship and have only won for of their 15 games so far, with just two in their past 10 outings.

Prutton said: “Leeds were brilliant at Leicester last Friday night. It was such an intense game and they stifled their opponents superbly, taking a deserved victory. They have real hope now of clawing their way back that gap on the top two.
“Plymouth are still without a win on the road all season. This is a long trip and I can’t see that changing in truth. Home win.”
Logic dictates
It goes without saying that if Leeds United can go to the King Power Stadium and make Leicester look anything but the irresistible force they have been for the majority of this season they can also beat a weaker side at home.
But that is exactly the sort of view that invites a slip up so Farke will have to be onto his player not to experience a lull after the big primetime game last week.
At times the Whites have found it difficult to break down sides that sit deep at Elland Road and look to play on the counter, and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise for Steven Schumacher to look to do just that in this one.

Granted, Crysencio Summerville, Dan James and Georginio Rutter made a mockery of that problem two weekends ago with the visit of Huddersfield Town, but such a blistering first-half doesn’t come along every week.
With yet another international break following this game it is all the more important for the Whites to maintain their momentum and the confidence that is developing around the team.
It would also be the ideal time for Joel Piroe to get back among the goals after going four games without scoring, in a game that is tipped to be very winnable.
In other Leeds United news, Fabrizio Romano has issued a new Whites transfer update with developments expected in the coming weeks.
