Leeds United v Hull City: Ilia Gruev selection decision made ahead of Elland Road clash
Ilia Gruev will not be part of the Leeds United squad to face Hull City on Monday evening (1 April), according to Leeds Live.
The online outlet shared a team news update on its website [1 April] ahead of the Championship clash at Elland Road.
Connor Roberts and Willy Gnonto have already been confirmed out, while Pascal Struijk and Stuart Dallas are also absent.
The one big call Farke had to make regarded the fitness of Gruev, but the report states he will not be a part of the 21-man group.
Leeds United team news v Hull City
Given the quick turnaround in games on the back of the 2-2 draw at Watford, Daniel Farke will no doubt be tempted to make some changes.
Leeds’ best XI has often picked itself since the turn of the year, but injuries have forced the manager’s hand somewhat.
Shifting Ethan Ampadu back into central midfield is something Farke will not want to repeat against Hull as the Welshman is needed at the back.

The absence of Gruev leaves the Whites fairly light on options in that area, but the German manager will no doubt find a solution.
Being without Gnonto in attack is another blow, but one Leeds will have to get used to, while Roberts’ legs from the bench will be missed.
Earning promotion to the Premier League is about the squad rather than individuals, though, and it is time for certain others to step up.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites could be in line for a “significant” transfer windfall.
