Leeds United v Coventry: Georginio Rutter axe on the cards after dreadful display
Georginio Rutter has been a liability for Leeds United v Coventry and Daniel Farke has no option but to take him off at half-time.
The Frenchman may have had an excellent season and been central to everything in the final third for the Whites of late, but he has not been at it on 6 April.
Farke made the decision to start Patrick Bamford ahead of him and the combination is just not working out so a change is needed.
Rutter’s flair is costing Leeds United
The Frenchman was unnecessarily being cheeky in possession and trying fancy things when he should be playing it simple.
There is a place for flair in the game but not at the expense of your team, especially if they’re chasing the game.
He’s been holding onto the ball for far too long and bar a couple of instances where he’s combined with Georginio Rutter, it’s been a shameful performance.
Stats do not make good reading for Rutter or Leeds United
According to Sofascore, the 21-year-old has lost possession a colossal 18 times and that number is even more shocking when he’s completed just 10 passes.
Having made 33 touches, he’s nearly lost the ball half the time and instead of finding a teammate, it’s his indecision that is leading to transitions when the Whites are in the final third.
He’s been abject out of possession as well, winning just four out of his 16 attempted ground duels.
He’s also being bullied in the air and is yet to win an aerial duel.

Either he comes out in the second half as a different player or Farke takes him off during the break because things cannot continue like this.
