Leeds United on ITV special set to be broadcast on Sunday morning

It’s been an incredible week for Leeds United and while Brentford have to try their luck in the play-offs today, Whites fans can relax and enjoy their Sunday.

That can get off to a Leeds start with some retro action from 1977 on ITV4.

The latest episode of The Big Match Revisited comes from May 1977 and includes Bristol City v Leeds.

Leeds, managed by Jimmy Armfield, travel to rock-bottom side Bristol City with three games left in the season.

Bristol desperately need a win to give themselves a chance of survival.

Leeds, in tenth in the league, can still catch big rivals Man United, who are sitting four points ahead.

The Big Match Revisited is on ITV 4 on Sunday morning at 10.25am.

Transfer rumours are already swirling and Leeds will strengthen ahead of the new season.

Getting Marcelo Bielsa on a new contract will be the number one priority with his current deal expiring next week.

The big news that came overnight saw Bielsa linked with Barcelona, with Messi urging the club to snap him up.

We’re not worried about that and we’d like to make a counter-offer. If Messi wants to play under Bielsa then we’re sure we can accommodate him at Elland Road.

While we’re waiting for his answer we’ll enjoy our bacon and eggs with some retro Leeds action. And we’ll sweat the Brentford game later on.
