Leeds United to continue seven-year streak vs Norwich City as supercomputer predicts FA Cup result
Leeds United return to action on Sunday when they face Norwich City at Elland Road in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The Whites defeated Birmingham City on penalties in the fourth round, and they’ll feel confident that they can reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup for the first time since 2002-03.
Daniel Farke‘s side are three points clear of the drop zone in the Premier League, but they can ease the pressure on themselves by securing a comfortable win against the Canaries in the FA Cup.
The competition is a nice distraction for Leeds at this moment in time, and a supercomputer has predicted the outcome of the clash at Elland Road.

Leeds predicted as heavy favourites vs Norwich City
The Canaries currently sit 17th in the Championship, but Philippe Clement has overseen an impressive rebuild in East Anglia.
Norwich have won five of their last six matches, which includes a 3-1 win over West Brom in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
However, according to Opta‘s supercomputer, Leeds are expected to advance to the quarter-finals.
- Leeds have been given a 68 per cent chance of claiming the victory
- Norwich have a 14.3 per cent chance of securing an away win
- A draw has been given a 17.7 per cent probability of occurring
Leeds haven’t lost to Norwich since 2019, and the odds of that unbeaten streak continuing are extremely high.
The Whites may have only won the FA Cup once, beating Arsenal 1-0 in the 1972 final, but this season is a brilliant opportunity for them to create history.
A favourable home tie against a Championship side is perfect for the Whites, and there is no excuse for them to fall short.

Farke will once again face his old team, and a win could prove to be a little bit sweeter at Elland Road.
How successful was Daniel Farke at Norwich?
Farke managed to secure two different promotions with Norwich, which is ultimately brilliant.
He dominated the Championship with the Canaries, but his side were outgunned both on and off the pitch in the Premier League.
After starting the 2020-21 season poorly, Farke was sacked after 11 games, and it was clear that he didn’t have the acumen to manage in the top flight at that point in his career.
As it stands, he’s proving those theories wrong with Leeds, but suffering a loss to his former side would certainly dent the morale around LS11.
That would certainly heap more scrutiny on his job, and the last thing he’ll want is to be sacked in the same way he was at Norwich.
