Leeds United: talkSPORT pundit reacts to Dan James footage emerging
Dean Saunders has reacted as footage of Leeds United attacker Dan James emerged this week after the Wales defeat v Poland.
The two teams went to penalties in order to qualify for EURO 2024 and the Polish side won the contest with James missing the final spot kick that knocked his nation out.
Saunders admits that it’s going to be a shame for the attacker without criticising him, but saying that it’s something he’ll have to wake up to.
Speaking live on talkSPORT on 26 March at 10:41 pm, Saunders said: “Poor Dan James. He’s gonna have to wake up to this. What a shame. What a good lad he is, James.”
Leeds United star Dan James will bounce back stronger
The penalty miss which led to Wales’ failure to qualify is undoubtedly a bitter pill to swallow for James.
It’s a moment that could haunt him for some time, especially considering the magnitude of the occasion.
However, amidst this disappointment, the 26-year-old will find solace in the unwavering support of both Wales and Leeds fans.
Despite the setback, he remains a talented player with a promising future ahead.
Wales fans are likely to rally behind James, understanding that setbacks are part of the game and similarly, Leeds supporters will also offer their support, recognising his potential to bounce back and contribute positively to the team.
For James, the best course of action is to acknowledge the disappointment, but not dwell on it.
Instead, he should channel his energy into excelling for Leeds, focusing on his performances on the pitch.
