Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford return timeline shared amid hamstring twist – Injury Expert
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Leeds United...
Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford is set to miss the Watford game but may even be ruled out longer, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The Whites host the Hornets at Elland Road in the EFL Championship on 23 September and seven days later, take on Southampton.
Ahead of the game against Hull City on Wednesday, Daniel Farke admitted that the 30-year-old was back in training but the match came too soon for him.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Bamford:
“Based on the timeline of his return and him missing the weekend game too, this sounds like a grade 1 hamstring strain which typically is around 2 or so weeks.
“The concern with Bamford and what may delay his timeline is that he hasn’t been consistently match-fit for a while and so they might be more methodical with his return-to-play timeline to guard against more injuries.
“He’s also 30 so that definitely needs to be factored in as well.”

It’s important that Leeds take their time with easing Bamford back into the first team as they will not want a re-injury.
They have Joel Piroe and Georginio Rutter performing well so the 30-year-old isn’t being missed as much as he would’ve been previously.
Given how well the aforementioned strike duo are faring, it’s unlikely that Bamford will walk straight back into the starting eleven, anyway.
In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that big European clubs have been keeping tabs on a Whites player for a while and are still willing to sign him.
