Leeds United predicted XI v Watford: Four changes as Daniel Farke shares injury news

Leeds United could have as many as four different faces in the eleven when they take on Watford in the Championship on Sunday, 24 September, at Elland Road.

The German revealed that Wilfried Gnonto has an injury so is ruled out and he’ll be forced to make a change at centre-back after Joe Rodon’s red card.

When asked if Charlie Cresswell or Liam Cooper will replace him, he said on Friday that he’s got two quality left-footed centre-backs who can play together as well.

However, it will be easier to have a right-left combination and Cresswell started the season and is not recovering from an injury.

Thus, we see him coming into the eleven for this one on the right side of defence to partner Pascal Struijk.

He recently signed a long-term deal so it’s possible that he would’ve asked for assurances over playing time.

The other change expected is at left-back with Sam Byram coming in for Jamie Shackleton – who started the 0-0 draw against Hull City.

Archie Gray, a first-team regular this season, surely will have been fatigued and thus could be given a rest for this one with Glen Kamara getting his first league start.

On the right, deadline day signing Jaidon Anthony could be given the nod with Dan James moving to the left wing where he has been threatening.

Four changes on the cards as Farke will want his first home win of the season.

In other Leeds United news, Daniel Farke surely has the last laugh as footage of a £20m+ player has emerged over the past week.
