Leeds United predicted XI v Huddersfield: Mateo Joseph starts, four changes
Daniel Farke may look to shuffle his pack as Leeds United take on Huddersfield in the EFL Championship on Saturday, 2 March.
The Whites will be travelling to the John Smith’s Stadium and will be hoping to continue their good run of form, despite a narrow defeat against Chelsea.
Stuart Dallas is a long-term absentee but along with him, Pascal Struijk and Karl Darlow will also be missing this one and there’s also a chance that Ilia Gruev and Georginio Rutter will not be fit in time.
Leeds United are overwhelming favourites against Huddersfield
Leeds enter the West Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield as clear favourites, with a strong recent record and a determined pursuit of promotion back to the Premier League.
Currently sitting in second place in the Championship, just six points behind league leaders Leicester City, the Whites need a win to maintain the pressure on the table-toppers.
Despite their relegation from the Premier League last season, Leeds has proven their quality by maintaining an unbeaten run at home this season and showcasing resilience against top-flight opponents like Chelsea in the FA Cup, where they narrowly lost 3-2.
With their Farke guiding them effectively and key players like Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter in fine form, Leeds will be eager to secure three points against Huddersfield to keep their promotion hopes alive and put Leicester under pressure at the summit of the Championship table.
Hopefully, they do make easy work of their Yorkshire rivals and keep up their pursuit of a top-two finish.
Four changes in the offing for Leeds?
Mateo Joseph was a surprise inclusion against Chelsea and had he not scored two goals at Stamford Bridge, he would not even be in the conversation.
However, the fact that he impressed in London could see Farke opting to pick him in his eleven against Huddersfield.
Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto were both second half substitutes against Chelsea and they should come in for Jaidon Anthony and Dan James.
Ethan Ampadu, who played in midfield on Wednesday, can revert to a centre-back role at the expense of Liam Cooper with Glen Kamara coming into midfield.

Connor Roberts started in mid-week and may not be ready for two games in three days so Jamie Shackleton might be given the nod.
