Leeds United ‘make Daniel James squad decision’ for Watford clash
Daniel Farke has made a decision on whether Daniel James and Joe Rodon will be a part of his plans for the Championship clash between Leeds United and Watford.
The former of the two started the season riddled with injuries which seemed to affect the West Yorkshire outfit negatively.
Since his return, he’s been one of the Whites’ most important players with the Welshman forming a more than solid partnership with the impressive Manor Solomon on the left wing.
Leeds’ main goal since the season kicked off has been to earn promotion to the Premier League, and as long as they can keep up their recent run of form, it’s hard to see how they won’t earn that this season.
Daniel Farke makes Joe Rodon and Dan James decision
Watford have been a team under plenty of scrutiny this season. They failed to bolster their ranks enough in the winter transfer window and there were even rumours of Tom Cleverley being axed from his role.
The Hornets currently sit 10th in the table, but they have won only one of their past five second-tier matches.
So even though Rodon and James missed out on Leeds’ game against Millwall last time out, a new report from LeedsLive (11 February) seems to think that the West Yorkshire outfit will both be travelling to Vicarage Road.

“Joe Rodon and Daniel James were included in the travelling party, having recovered from their minor injuries,” they wrote, while including the pair in Leeds’ matchday squad.
Farke did say that the Welsh duo had returned to training earlier in the week, but it was still unknown whether they’d be available for selection. Evidently, Leeds have made the decision to take them both.
Leeds United need to go all-out against Watford
Even though Watford haven’t been in the best of form recently, they certainly won’t be pushovers when they face the Whites.
Leeds may have been the most dominant force in the Championship this season, but it still feels like they’re due to slip-up at some point.
The Whites’ team is full of quality everywhere you look, but with James and Rodon likely coming back into the starting XI, they’ll have a much better chance of beating Cleverley’s men.
Only time will tell what the future holds but, on paper, Farke’s men should be able to add yet another three points to their Championship tally against Watford. At the end of the day, that is all that fans can ask for.
